Financial Workshops to be offered at Crossroads Institute
Twin County Chamber of Commerce, Blue Ridge Economic Development
Authority and Crossroads Institute
have partnered with area banks and financial advisors to offer a
series of FREE workshops providing information and answering questions
about concerns people may have on the financial crisis facing the
banking industry.
Information will be available regarding banking
services, investment opportunities, retirement, budgeting and bankruptcy.
Individuals are encouraged to bring questions.
All workshops are FREE
of charge and will take place at Crossroads Institute.
Thursday, January
29: 6pm-8pm
Basic budgeting, How to set up a budget, rebuild a budget, bankruptcy
and more.
A lawyer from Lyons & Lyons Law Firm, located in Galax,
will be on hand to discuss the new laws governing bankruptcy.
Thursday, February 5: 6pm-8pm
Banking services, such as CDs, bonds, checking and savings accounts
and more.
Tuesday, February 12: 6pm-8pm
Investment, retirement, financial planning, general market overview
and more.
