Galax's charming and historic mountain city sponsors many events annually including the internationally known "The Old Time Fiddlers Convention" each August. Galax is also the starting point for the popular New River Trail, a 60-mile bike ride along the New River.
Carroll County sponsors the country's largest flea market and hosts a wonderful farmers market serving the region at I-77 and US 58.
