The BRCEDA Board of Directors recognizes that education is a vital component of economic development in terms of workforce development, attracting advanced technology businesses to the region and the general well-being of communities.
BRCEDA seeks out opportunities to partner with educational leaders to promote entrepreneurial business growth and stability for the citizens of the region. In Galax and Carroll and Grayson Counties, our public high schools have entrepreneurial classroom instructors.
BRCEDA also partners with post-secondary institutions such as Wytheville Community College, technical training organizations, and workforce and professional development providers to ensure that our region's workforce has the skills and knowledge necessary to be competitive in the 21st century marketplace.
"The Carroll County Public School Division is proud to be a partner with BRCEDA in an effort to promote educational initiatives that positively impact the economic expansion of the Twin County area.

The mission of Grayson County
Public Schools, in partnership with parents and the community, is to
ensure that all students acquire the knowledge and skills to successfully
meet the challenges of a globally competitive workforce. Our school
system is dedicated to increasing the achievement of all students by
providing rigorous educational programs and high quality learning experiences.
Through the nine schools in
our system, we continuously strive to improve and expand opportunities
for students through initiatives such as pre-school programs, an Associates
Degree program of studies, and new career and technical courses.
We have implemented a long-range facilities improvement plan which will
result in significant renovations and new school buildings throughout
the county to modernize our learning environments.
In working together, we can
look forward to excellence in education, opportunities for each child’s
success and a bright future for our community. “We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future.”
